Alrighty then, as my signature will atest, I will be listening to Temple OF The Dog (possibly one of the first super groups ever) and Iron Maiden's new album A Matter Of Life and Death.

TOTD is excellent, Pearl Jam type solos, Eddie Vedder on backup vocals mainly, cept for the tune Hunger Strike.

New Maiden album is not bad, Doc is blaring it out of his TV/DVD combo thing!!

if you're listening to a lot of the temple of the dog stuff, it might be worth having a gander at mother love bone and mad season as well.

mother love bone were basically pearl jam pre - vedder
http://www.last.fm/music/Mother+Love+Bone/+wiki
they had a good album and a great tune on the soundtrack to the movie singles. might want to check that soundtrack out too, some chris cornell solo stuff, bits of pearl jam and that type of thing.

mad season did an album too, they were a side band with layne staley of alice in chains and mike mc cready from pearl jam, well worth a look too.
http://www.last.fm/music/Mad+Season/+wiki.

steer well clear of vedder's sideband with his wife, hovercraft, they suck big time.

my new maiden album hasn't arrived yet from play.com  it's been delivered here to kilkenny so hopefully it'll arrive on monday before i head back to limerick, otherwise i may go and download that bad boy. i've heard different world, benjamin breeg and brighter than a thousand suns from it so far and they sound class, hopefully the rest of it will be as good

Ah get bent, sometimes there is a requirement for chill out music, so a bup o Rice, spoonfull of DJ Shadown, fillet of Air, cook at 200 degrees for, oh, say, 20 minutes, and relaxation, is maith liom é

I'm allowed to love Damien Rice cos I'm a girl. Bought the new albun '9'. I'm still deciding, cos I haven't gotten to listen to it much yet, but methinks it's not as good as 'O' - hard to beat that one though.
Jimmy - you have to love Eskimo from 'O', it's a cracker!
The new single '9 Crimes' from the new album is also a cracker. Get the feeling most of the new album is written about being screwed over by Rene 'Trout Mouth' Zellwegger! What a bi-atch!
