been pretty busy the last few day, started off friday by doing a bus tour called uncle brians around the outskirts of cairns taking in the rain forest and the waterfalls. we did this thing called arse rafting, involves skeeting down waterfalls on ur arse funnily enough, deadly craic. got to swim under the waterfall where they filmed the timotei add years ago, unfortuneately my skin head couldn't do the hair flick thingy yer wan on the add did but it was still pretty cool to see it. saturday went to the beach called palm cove, pretty relaxing day with the biggest waves i've seen in years.
sunday we went to the barrier reef. unbelievable place to see. went snorkelling, twas like getting a guided tour of the worlds best auqarium, sights were amazing, even saw a reef shark takin a dump and two turtles getting it on
spent today river rafting on the barron river (two green ones and a snakebite please), went down 11 sets of rapids and only managed to capsize once, which was good considering it was grade 4 rafting (it goes from 1 to 6, with 1 being harmless and 6 being feckin mental).
all in all the last few days have been fairly hectic (or full on, as everyone says here)
be heading down the coast soon, probably wednesday, 1st stop townsville.
